During summer months, there are Cruise Nights from Tuesday through Friday in the Greater Rochester area.

Sunday, April 16th.   Spring Club Meeting at Legion Eyer Park, 100 Eyer Park, East Rochester, NY 14445. 

Formerly the Chili Party held in February.  The Spring Club Meeting will be a pizza lunch or bring your own.  Start at 1:00 PM . Club will provide pizza and drinks.  The business meeting will be part of the afternoon. Must have paid your dues for 2023 to vote.  Contacts: Mark and Carol Dolan.

Saturday, June 3rd.  Carb Blow-out Day A drive through the Northeast part of Monroe County, ending with an early dinner at Castaways.  A series of questions along the route from Durand Eastman Beach, across the bay and back up to the lake shore.   Prizes we be awarded but pride is the big winner. All are welcome but driver AND navigator are required to enter contest.

Wednesday, June 14th.  Allen Davis Memorial Drive.  The date is flexible, but a weeknight is preferred.  Sunset is late.   Great twisty.  Start at South town Plaza and End up in LeRoy. New restaurant this year- Creekside in LeRoy.   It’s only 27 miles to LeRoy so we will sit down to eat around 6:30 PM. Finish NLT 8:00PM. Sunset is 9 with twilight till 9:32 so plenty of time to get home in the light.  Contact Chris Holliday (cholliday250@gmail.com). 

Sunday, June 18th.  Father’s Day Car Show at Sonnenberg Gardens.  151 Charlotte St., Canandaigua, NY 14424.  This a “Gathering Event” for the GRTTC, in which members are required to pre-register on their own and we will meet at the event.  When you do register, please just let Chris Holliday know and he’ll try to get space so we all can park together,   Sign up online to show off your wheels! (Pre-sale $10.00 for a carload of 4 people or less – Pre-sale for show cars ends at 3 pm Friday 6/17/22.  After this time you can still bring your car to “Show Off Your Wheels” and register the day of the show for $15.00).  This event is also listed below under Non-GRTTC events.

Saturday, June 24 Pierce Arrow Museum, 263 Michigan Ave, Buffalo, NY 14203

We will not be taking the thruway in respect for those who are driving their Triumphs. Meet at Southtown Plaza, 3333 W Henrietta Rd, Rochester, NY 14623at 11AM.  Drive to the museum in Buffalo, estimated arrival time of about 1PM.  After viewing the museum, we will stop for dinner at the Batavia Diner.  From there, you can take the best route home for you - Rte. 33, Rte. 5, I-90, etc.

Wednesday, July TBD.  Log Cabin Cruise Night.   2445 W Walworth Rd, Macedon, NY 14502-9127.  We will meet at the event. Food is available.  Starts around 5:30.  Bring a lawn chair.

Sunday, August 20th.  GRTTC Picnic,  Webster Park at the Orchard Park Shelter.  Entrance is off East lake

Rd just off Whiting Rd.  We will start prepping around noon. We can plan on eating around 2:00.  The club will provide hamburgers, hot dogs, (including rolls)  and corn on the cob, as well as plates, napkins, plastic ware.  If anyone would prefer a different main course, like fish, we or you can cook it.  Just bring what you would like. The grill will be propane so we can cook anytime.

Things  you need to tell us:

  • Who and how many are coming.   i.e. “Jack And Bernice Harrison are coming”.

  • Your food choices. i.e. “2 Hamburgs each” or “we are bring squid for ourselves”.

  • What you are bringing as a side dish i.e.  Potato Salad, Cake, Cookies, appetizers, Chips, dip, Cheese and crackers, egg rolls,  Cheese Puffs. Desserts.  Just some examples.

Remember, the park is carry in Carry out. So please plan accordingly.

Saturday, May 14th.  OCHS Classic British Car Show at Onanda Park, 4965 Co Rd 16, Canandaigua, NY 14424.  THE BRITISH ARE COMING! THE BRITISH ARE COMING! Come see some classic British cars and learn about the Sullivan Campaign at their first Car Show.  Come enjoy this family friendly event.  Free to the public.  Car owners: $20 Entry Fee.

 

Sunday, June 11th.  Buffalo European Car Club Car Show.  Transit Road Drive-In.

 

Sunday, June 18th.   Eurocar Show, LaFayette Apple Festival Grounds on Rt 20, Rowland Rd, Lafayette, NY 13084.  If you never dropped in at this traditional Father’s Day event, you’ve really missed a gem. Usually held at the beautiful Lorenzo Historic Site in Cazenovia, New York, this year’s event will be held at the Lafayette Apple Festival grounds.  Eurocar is open to all European cars.

Our club will schedule a caravan over to Lafyette from Canandaigua to this event.  There were 200 cars last year and a great way to kick off the summer.  We’ll look at a dinner stop on the way home where people could join us who didn’t attend the show.

Wednesday, September 7 – Sunday, September 11th, U.S. Vintage Grand Prix, Watkins Glen International Raceway, 2790 County Route 16, Watkins Glen, NY 14891

The U.S. Vintage Grand Prix is one of the largest events on the SVRA calendar. This special weekend brings together hundreds of vintage race cars of all ages, makes and models. The Featured Marque for 2022 is Mustang. A very special Bugatti Reunion and Race will add to the weekend spectacle.

The annual Grand Prix Festival, held on Friday in downtown Watkins Glen, commemorates the early sports car races that took place on a 6.6-mile course laid out on village streets. The high point of the Festival is the Grand Prix reenactment, with SVRA race cars driving the original Watkins Glen street course to the cheers of 20,000 enthusiastic spectators.

Memorable track action and a unique downtown festival combine for a great weekend in the scenic Finger Lakes region of New York. It doesn’t get any better!

 

Sunday, September 18th.  The 38th Annual British Car Day at Bronte Provincial Park, Bronte Creek, 1219 Burloak Dr., Oakville, ON L6M 4J7, Canada.

Another great show is planned and we are expecting over 1,000 British Cars, great vendors, wonderful anniversary cars spanning 3 years and much more.  Pre-registration through FASTLANE will be available in May 2022; it's a great way to save money ($15 versus $20 at the gate) and time (you pick up your goody bag on the way in which includes an excellent programme, voting card and pencil, dash plaque and much, much more).   The Awards Ceremonies start at 2 p.m. and go for about an hour.   Please stick around so you can pick up your award.  We have 57 different car classes and 3 awards per class so the odds are pretty good that you might!   There will also be a panel of judges selecting the Best of Show car and a Long Distance Award presented to the car driven the furthest (you must pre-register to be eligible). 

 

Monday, September 18th – Thursday, September 21st.  Put-In-Bay Vintage Sports Car Races, . South Bass Island, Put-In-Bay, OH 43456.  Low-key event where sports cars raced in the ‘50s & ‘60s.  Two days of racing for pre-'73 prod. cars up to 3.0L, sports racers up to 2.0L, vintage Formula Vee, F-Jr and F-Ford and others (by application) on challenging airport circuit.  Entry options for racing, “exhibition” and non-racing vintage sports cars, plus the “Great Lakes Vintage Challenge” for prod. cars and FV entering 2021 VSCDA Grattan, Waterford Hills vintage race & PIB.  Plus…Original course touring, social events, car show, rocker cover races, guest stories and more guaranteed enjoyment than any other vintage racing event (our entrants say).

Thursday, September 28th – Saturday, September 30th.  VTR North American Triumph Challenge, Dillard, Georgia.     The Vintage Triumph Register (VTR) is a North American Triumph car club of over 2,800 Triumph owners and enthusiasts supporting and showcasing all models of Triumphs.  Compete in an autocross challenge, participate in a funkhana event, drive in a road rallye on our carefully selected back roads, and even learn about your car in our expert-led technical sessions.  However you choose to spend your week, you'll get to enjoy it in the company of great people who are just as Triumph-crazy as you are.  See you in there!

Anyone who has not been to one of these National event, they are a ton of fun and you meet some really great people.  These are National Events so you get some of the best Triumphs in the land.

Every Tuesday night.  Panorama Plaza Cruise Night, Penfield, west end of the parking lot.

              

Every Wednesday night.  Cruise night.  The Log Cabin restaurant, 2445 W Walworth Rd, Macedon, NY 14502.  Always a good turnout with food available outside.

Every Wednesday night.   I-Square Cruise Night.  The park is small and the crowd is friendly.  Free ice cream for participants.  Irondequoit Square, 400 Bakers Park, Rochester, NY 14617

Every Thursday night.  Cruise Night at Wegmans in Canandaigua, NY has become a popular gathering.  Wegmans has food and there are several ice cream opportunities. The best is Cheshire Farms Creamery, 10 Parrish St., Canandaigua.

Every Friday night, 5:00 PM start.  Shriners Cruise Night in Webster, NY has become the place to be. So much so, they have had to turn some people away, so get there early. They have a fish fry available while it lasts.  Between the 104 expressway & Empire Blvd.

Last Sunday every month from April to November. 9:00 AM - 12.00 PM.  Cars & Coffee at the Freestyle Mercantile, Mumford, NY.  Coffee, breakfast buns, donuts are GOOD!  Nice atmosphere, people and a nice ride into the country.
